Sustainability Mission

SureCav hopes to inspire others to make better choices for a brighter future. SureCav provides a sustainable solution by replacing concrete backing-blocks with 100% recycled plastic. In addition, SureCav25 makes room in a designed 100mm cavity for more insulation, helping to drive down U-Values, saving energy!

So far SureCav has replaced the need for 134,000 tonnes of concrete (7.4million blocks) and instead, has used SureCav in its place, with 1,800 tonnes of 100% recycled plastic!

This number of concrete blocks would take 6,700, 20-tonne lorries to deliver, whereas to cover the same m2 area, SureCav can do it in just 226 lorries loads, greatly reducing emissions from delivery transport!

We are very pleased to be working along with Planet Mark to help us to achieve certification This involves measuring SureCav's carbon footprint and resulting impact, helping our staff to engage in the sustainable programme to drive change, and to giving us the tools to communicate our progress. Planet Mark has awarded SureCav Limited with a certificate to confirm we have set targets to reduce our carbon footprint by at least 12% per year. We continually strive to promote sustainability throughout our company and manufacturing partners, and are now on our way to our net zero target by 2050! SureCav Limited is proud to announce that we have reached the finals of the National Building and Construction Awards 2022 for the Green/Sustainability award 2022.

SureCav is committed to reducing the CO2 in the construction industry and feels proud that we have been selected to be one of the seven finalists. The national building and construction awards are due to announce the winners in November 2022 at their ceremony evening at the London Hilton Wembley on the 17th November 2022.

The finals in themselves are a great achievement but we hope to push on further from here and make a real impact to the CO2 reduction across the construction industry.
